The nominee must be first author (i.e. presenting author) on an abstract submitted for spoken presentation and should <strong>not be more than <\/strong><strong>four years <\/strong><strong>post-doctoral <\/strong>and <strong>not a<\/strong> <strong>Principal Investigator (P.I.)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The best scored abstracts, which could not be selected for oral presentation will automatically compete for the <strong>ESHG Poster Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Authors wishing to be considered for these awards should complete the appropriate boxes during abstract submission.<br \/>\n<strong>Deadline for application is February 14, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Conference Fellowships<\/h3>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">We hope for your understanding that the ESHG cannot allocate more than one fellowship to a person per year.<\/p>\n<p>For fellowships 1 \u2013 3, notifications on the acceptance of your application will be emailed in the week of March 18-22.<br \/>\nFellowship 4 is at the sole discretion of your national society.<\/p>\n<h4>1. Conference Fellowships for Central &amp; Eastern European Countries<\/h4>\n<p>The ESHG provides<strong> 70 conference fellowships<\/strong>, which will be awarded by the Scientific Programme Committee to Young Investigators (not more than 4 years post-doctoral)\u00a0from a <a title=\"Opens internal link in current window\" href=\"https:\/\/2019.eshg.org\/index.php\/myconference\/fellowship-information\/countries-eligible-for-conference-fellowships\/\">restricted number of Central &amp; Eastern European Countries\u00a0<\/a>based <strong>on abstract acceptance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The fellowship comprises the waiving of the registration fee, as well as EUR 300.- as contribution towards travel expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Authors wishing to be considered for these awards should complete the appropriate boxes during abstract submission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for application is February 14, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>2. Conference Fellowships for Non-European Countries<\/h4>\n<p>The ESHG provides 20 conference fellowships, which will be awarded by the Scientific Programme Committee\u00a0to Young Investigators (not more than 4 years post-doctoral)\u00a0<strong>from Non-European Countries<\/strong>\u00a0(5 fellowships for each Middle and South America, Africa, Middle East and Asia) based\u00a0<strong>on abstract acceptance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The fellowship comprises the waiving of the registration fee, as well as EUR 600.- as contribution towards travel expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Authors wishing to be considered for these awards should complete the appropriate boxes during abstract submission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Deadline for application is February 14, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>3. Conference Fellowships of Excellence<\/h4>\n<p>The ESHG provides 5 conference fellowships, which will be awarded by the Scientific Programme Committee to the <strong>best submissions by Young Investigators <\/strong>(not more than 4 years post-doctoral)\u00a0based\u00a0<strong>on the peer-reviewing process<\/strong>.
