However, the size of the author block <strong>must not exceed 3,000 characters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tables<\/strong> may be included.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No graphics<\/strong> are allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Remember that you may be <strong>presently be the presenting author of a poster<\/strong>, but not of a talk in any of the concurrent sessions.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eshg.org\/fileadmin\/www.eshg.org\/conferences\/2015\/2015_ESHG_Sample_Abstract.pdf\">Download a sample abstract with instructions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Before you get started&#8230;<\/h4>\n<p>Type your abstract in a common Word Processor (e.g. MS Word). Please save a copy of the file with the abstract text only (no title or authors). This file can then be used for a &#8220;file upload&#8221; (most convenient way of submission). The upload feature supports and converts tables within the document. Special characters are widely supported.<\/p>\n<h4>When entering the site&#8230;<\/h4>\n<p><strong>You will have to create a new user account. On the left side of the page, click on &#8220;Click here to create a new user account. <\/strong>Fill in all required fields and save your personal information by clicking &#8220;Continue&#8221; on the online form.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> In case you have submitted an abstract at a previous ESHG meeting, your login data are still valid. <\/em><em>In this case,\u00a0please login with your login and password on the right side of the page (&#8220;returning users&#8221;) <\/em><br \/>\n<em>(ATTENTION: This is <strong>not\u00a0<\/strong><strong>your ESHG member login<\/strong>).<br \/>\nIn case you cannot retrieve your access data, please use the &#8220;forgot password&#8221; option.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the welcome area you will see the following options:<br \/>\n&#8211; &#8220;<strong>ESHG BREAKING ABSTRACT<\/strong>&#8220;. Click on &#8220;<strong>Submit abstract<\/strong>&#8220;.<br \/>\nFollow the step by step instructions for submission.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually, you will see a <strong>summary of your submission<\/strong> in the last step (&#8220;<strong>Review my work<\/strong>&#8220;), which you may print. In this case please <strong>reload the page<\/strong> and either <strong>type<\/strong> or\u00a0copy\/paste the title from a <strong>plain text application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Submission is perfectly possible with <strong>other browsers<\/strong> as well, but some advanced functions are possible only with the above.<\/li>\n<li>Please note that you must also have <strong>JavaScript and Cookies enabled<\/strong> in your browser preferences in order for the system to function properly. Instructions to enable cookies are given on the login page.<\/li>\n<li>A list of <strong>compatible browsers<\/strong> is given on the login page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Corrections &#8211; Amendments<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The title of <strong>your abstract<\/strong> is displayed in the <strong>Welcome Area<\/strong>, together with the information on whether the submission is complete or incomplete. <strong>To edit<\/strong> the abstract, <strong>simply click on the title step<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Changes and editing <\/strong>can be made until the<strong> submission deadline<\/strong>. In case of a mistake during the submission, it is <strong>not necessary<\/strong> to re-submit a &#8220;new abstract&#8221;. Click on the step to be amended and make the correction.<\/li>\n<li>Aborted submissions can be picked up and <strong>completed at a later stage<\/strong>. Authors are able to login and to select the incomplete abstract in order to continue the submission <strong>until the deadline<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The submission system stores the information in &#8220;real time&#8221;. The moment you reach the <strong>Summary<\/strong> within the submission process and the system tells you &#8220;<strong>This submission is complete<\/strong>&#8221; your abstract is completed and has been received. However you will still be able to come back and make modifications until the deadline.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Please make sure you print the summary page for your records. <\/strong>The system also has an e-mail confirmation feature.
