All conference data and additional society information are available.<br \/>\nSearch for &#8216;ESHG&#8217; or &#8216;European Soc. of Human Genetics&#8217; in the stores or click the links on this page.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Browse the programme by day or session type<\/li>\n<li>Read the abstracts (available as of June 1)<\/li>\n<li>Take notes and print or email them to you or your colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Add talks and sessions to your personal itinerary<\/li>\n<li>Browse exhibitors by name or find them through the product index<\/li>\n<li>Browse the venue floor plan for directions<\/li>\n<li>Get information about Gothenburg<\/li>\n<li>Learn about Faculty, Award Lecturers and Young Investigator Award Candidates<\/li>\n<li>Chat with your colleagues about a talk or a session<\/li>\n<li>Engage in the event feed<\/li>\n<li>Have useful information, floor plans etc. always available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Please note the following important points:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>download<\/strong>\u00a0from the App Store or the Play Store will install\u00a0the &#8220;ESHG Society App&#8221;.\u00a0When you will\u00a0<strong>launch the app for the first time<\/strong>, please click on the &#8220;ESHG 2019 Conference&#8221; tile on the home screen to download the conference content.\u00a0Please make sure to start it for the first time\u00a0in a cost free\/WIFI environment. Do remember that WIFI networks in conference centres\u00a0get easily saturated at times, especially in breaks.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>App will ask you for a number of permissions<\/strong>. In an iOS environment, the app will ask for each permission separately, only if your action requires it. In an Android environment, all permissions are often presented &#8220;at once&#8221; and may sometimes come as a surprise, as the connection may not be obvious at first. What can be asked for by the App:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Access to the internet<\/strong>,\u00a0in order to download the actual\u00a0content and to update regularly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Access to the Network state<\/strong> in order to check whether the update\u00a0may (or may not)\u00a0currently be downloaded. (You will have your own settings in view of data download\u00a0by WIFI, cellular, or in a roaming situation etc&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Access to external storage<\/strong>, in case you did not save\u00a0the app in the internal memory, but on a\u00a0memory card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Receive notifications<\/strong>. We may send you a small number of push messages during the conference in oder to remind or\u00a0alert you of important issues.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Access your\u00a0contacts<\/strong>. The app contains profiles of speakers and delegates which you may want to add to your contacts. For this, \u00a0the app will need the permission to read and write to your contacts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Access to your calendar<\/strong>. You may wish to add papers or entire\u00a0sessions to your calendar in order to create your own agenda and e.g. set reminders to attend a specific session\/meeting. For this, the app requires permission to access your calendar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wake your phone from the lock status<\/strong>. In order to display push messages and calendar reminders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Please be assured that neither the ESHG nor the App developers are collecting any of your private data.
